My current lease at my current Apt complex comes to an end on 05/31/24. I did put in request back in March of 2024 to have me sign a new lease for 06/01/24 to 05/31/25. However it seems like management/owner are hesitant to offer me a new lease because I have been late with rent. I need to prove to them that I can pay rent on time in May so that they offer me a new lease. I don't want to get stuck in a month-to-month lease because that will mean I will have to pay more which is just going put me in more financial hardship
I haven't heard back from the new manager Paige yet to see if it is okay for me to pay late rent this month of April. I left messages end of March saying I need more time to pay rent. The old manager Maiah was good about responding within two days.
