JHM Life Groups
September 2020 – May 2021
In JHM here at Friends Church, our goal in life groups is to make our “big church” small. We strongly believe that we’re not supposed to live our lives alone, and that a strong community builds continuity for students in their relationship with God and the Church. We carefully place every student in groups of 8-10 of the same gender and grade, paired with 1-2 trained adult leaders. We meet once a week to study God’s word, hang out, encourage and pray for one another.

BLAKE MUSTERMAN
JHM Director
Blake is a graduate of Hope International University in Fullerton with a degree in Church Ministry. He’s a self proclaimed Yorba Linda Kid, and begrudgingly started attending Friends Church as a 7th Grader, at the strong request of his parents. Luckily (after several seasons of stubbornness), he fell in love with following Jesus and the Church. He’s now been involved with JHM since 2013, and is passionate about serving the Church by working with students and showing them how God intends for them to belong in His Kingdom! A few other things that get Blake stoked are the great outdoors, eccentric inside jokes, and pizza parties.
ALISON GARDNER
JHM Associate Director
Alison is a Biola graduate who majored in Communications because of her love for people and it is that love that led her into ministry with Jr. Highers! Alison was baptized in Jr. High and knows the impact a relationship with Christ can have during these formative years. Her prayer for these students is that they would know how deeply loved and chosen they are by the Lord. She has a heart for students to connect to one another in community and is deeply passionate about finding the right fit for every Jr. Higher in Life Groups! She is always happy to be a resource for parents and students, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to her! Some of Alison’s favorite things include Coffee, fresh flowers, laughter and the ocean.
ALLIE MAYER
JHM Field Worker
Allie is a native of Orange County and a Sophomore at Biola, majoring in Christian Ministries. She absolutely loves Junior Highers and has a passion for leading students to Christ! She’s been volunteering in various children’s ministries since she was in 6th grade, and is excited for this new season that God has brought her to here at Friends! Some things that Allie loves are reading, singing, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
