Baptism by immersion symbolically represents the new life we have through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Water baptism is a “non-essential” regarding our salvation and it does not improve our standing with God. Instead, it is an act of obedience and public declaration that we believe in Christ and will follow Him. We are baptized spiritually into the body of Christ when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As a “declaration of dependence” on Jesus as Lord, water baptism is an opportunity for believers to publicly identify with Jesus and serves as an outward confession of an inward change.

Baptism Testimonials

“Baptism was a chance for me to rinse away my past, be forgiven by God, put my old life behind me, be raised from the water with a fresh start, and proclaim to others my new beginning.”
– Ryan Davis

“I got baptized because I felt that it was the right time in my spiritual life and God was leading to do it. I have always accepted and known Jesus, but once I took my relationship with God and the Church to the next level, I knew that I needed to proclaim in front of all of my friends and family my faith in Jesus Christ.”
– Brian Hicks

“I was baptized when I was younger, but as I grew up, there were times in my life that it was difficult and I chose to not pursue God but instead I chose to serve myself. Baptism was a way for me to rededicate my life and to proclaim my salvation story of how Jesus brought me out of my past an into my new life in Christ.”
– Bradley Naden
