Practical Action Step
We live in a fallen world. Because of this, we will be in relationships where we get harmed–intentionally or unintentionally–by the other person. If relationships are to survive, we are to adopt the attitude of God, who in Christ forgave us for our sins. Thus, we are to be quick to forgive others–and not just forgive, but forget. We are to not bring up past mistakes and sins in a relationship. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13, love “keeps no record of wrongs.” This is a foundational principle of a marriage relationship.
